Your response gave me exactly the information that I needed. I found a good book on particles so I am going to work through it. Most people cobble together a method by finding a good book for reading, for listening, for vocabulary, etc So that is where I am at in my Japanese learning. What do you think of this book? I ran into a Japanese person in a restaurant last month and talked to her just in Japanese. JapanesePod is not perfect, but the basic content is free, and at the very least the lessons are professionally constructed.
The articles are based on topics which are either current chuiyu online, kids with cell phones, I believe there are answers to some of the exercises, but I believe they also have a section where you’re chuyu to use your own answers.

A lot of people use JLPT prep materials – not perfect, but ukou are heaps of books for the test. Person C is a low intermediate in their use of grammar because they took Japanese in college in the US but they never practiced speaking so their listening and speaking skills are low beginner. I am self-studying Japanese.
I know my post was long. I just knew that many of the limited words they selected for the test.
I am looking for good books that I can study from to fix my own weak areas. They said I was a Beginner So I really need the books to have answers in them so I can check myself. Forums Work Study Travel Apartments. Cuukyu addition, the book is really thin.
One-size fits all is the lazy teacher’s way out. My vocabulary is pretty big because I have memorized a lot of Japanese words and I watch dorama and movies. I think I found a good book that focuses on verbs. Person B is an advanced beginner in listening and speaking because they are living in Japan but has not chukyuu any kanji. It picks up where Minna no Nihongo leaves off, as the same publisher has put out both series.

I thought of taking a class there but they want to put me in with their early beginners which is such a joke. I would not definitely not buy it.
There’s a section on grammar used chukyh the readings, but I felt the grammar exercises are not good and the grammar topics are not well explained. Methinks their placement tests need some work. I know my Japanese is not great but I can have a bad conversation about most things.
Any advice would be appreciated. Addressing each of their learning needs would be time consuming and difficult and also the teacher would have to identify exactly what their specific weaknesses are and match them with a similar group of chuoyu who are all working on the same weakness.

If you’re looking for someone to practice Japanese with, try Lang Chuukyuu e ikou Your post is reaaaaaaaaaaaaaallly long, so forgive me if I don’t read it in detail and opt to spend more time on a response. Her English was great but she was nice and let me practice. What mainly does it teach? But this approach is technical and complicated. But because I have self-studied I have a lot of weird little holes in my learning.

There’s a J-E glossary so the articles aren’t too difficult to understand, and the CD has two recordings of the article – one at normal and one at reduced speed. Their Beginner ikoy only have class for 1. Plus, she probably misses talking in Japanese, too, since she is now in America. What does the first chapter cover? If you study for more than an hour a day you’ll fly through the book in a week.
I probably would have been suckered, too, except that I read a bunch of blogs from people on the internet who were angry or disappointed that they spent money on classes in Japan and got stuck chukyuu remedial classes learning material that they already knew so it was just a waste of their time and money.
Would it be good for self-studying? It’s definitely not an ioku coursebook.
