Thanks for letting me yhe that this book is available in algebriac notation. Read it many years ago but, Dennis, you have piqued my interested so I will definitely have to read it again. A Fireside-format hithers and thithers about The Game– stories, anecdotes, games, problems and pleasantries–by a master of the garrulous gambit. If you enjoy chess and I used to a great dealthis is one cool book! Many chess players are allergic to the genre, but the examples Chernev includes are all witty and bright.
